Were you taxed 10% for the recently given VFIN dividend?
Cheers.

It seems some party has been collecting this and becoming hot. If they continue doing it, they may push to ~65 and let it drop ~55.
Here is my view in a chart.
In support of TA.

Re: VFIN - where the journey leads it?
VFIN's new feature in their leasing is - customers can opt to skip one month of lease payment in a year. As per their advertisement, this can be any month they prefer (month in which insurance is due, New Year etc.,)
This is good for the customers as they would not have to prepare of sudden one-time cash outflow during that particular month. But I think the lease period will get pushed back a month per year which means a month of additional interest for VFIN.
It's unclear if this is for new leases or existing ones as well.

GroundedKestrel wrote:VFIN almost at 65. Will Hunter's prophecy come true? Only time will tell!
Ongoing momentum will bring it beyond 65/- (unless they release some 'not so good' results too early).
However, approximately, it reached 64.5 at the end of May. That was what I was expecting that time.
Going forward...
It's too early to comment what I am going to say below. But since the question has been raised, I will put it down.
****
(I do not expect this to be taken serious yet.)
The ongoing (technical) pattern suggests me VFIN has the potential to hit 80/- within this year.
******
However, my valuation says it is a little 'overpriced' right now even at the current levels.
So, my conclusion is, the coming quarterly results will be very crucial in deciding the direction of the price movement in 'short terms'.
(Disclaimer: Currently, I do not hold even a single share of VFIN)

You're welcome!
I have seen and agreeable with, most of experienced members' comments on VFIN; which are mostly very positive.
If I am to add to that my view;
Right now, I consider VFIN as a growth share with lot of potential in the medium and long run.

Re: VFIN - where the journey leads it?
Can expect decent growth from VFIN by not anything magical. VFIN already is almost near the capitalization limit like SAMP. Rating may be already reflecting that. Could it go for a rights?

Nothing wrong with exiting early if it was a planned target.
Problems start if it was unplanned and now it 'hurts' which can lead to more mistakes.

Re: VFIN - where the journey leads it?
First Guy, please forgive my ignorance but how can one tell if a stock is nearing its market capitalisation? What does it mean exactly? From what little i managed to research, does it mean that a majority of the stocks is held by institutional investors and the company has to issue rights or sub-divide to maintain liquidity? Is that how LFIN works?
