Serendib Land PLC is a highly illiquid share. All remaining number of shares other than held by top twenty is just 10,359

This company shows important features of real estate business and illiquid companies

As shown in above graph the revenue  (rental income)  is stable but the profit increases once in every three years . In terms of LKAS 40 of the Sri Lanka Accounting Standards, the fair value of investment property of a company should be revalued  annually be the board of directors and once in three years by a professional valuer. Thus this property was valued by M/s P.B. Kalugalagedara (F.I.V) an incorporated valuer and assessor.

Rental income is rather stable and so is the dividends paid by the company.

When comparing with Net Asset Value and average Market value , 2011 was the ideal time to buy the share

One salient feature of highly illiquid shares is the spread between high and low value. These are the Riches in Niches for traders...

The company revalue once in three years and the PAT fluctuate  accordingly.
