Sri Lanka likely to join Iranian oil customers ඉරානයට පනවා තිබු ජාත්‍යන්තර බාධක ඉවත්ව යාමත් සමඟම යළි ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට බොර තෙල් අපනයනය කිරිම කෙරෙහි යළි කටයුතු කිරිමට ඉරාන බලධාරින් කටයුතු යොදමින් පවතින බව එරට National Iranian Oil Co හි කළමනාකාර අධ්‍යක්ෂ Roknoding Javadi පවසා ඇති බව එරට මාධ්‍ය වාර්තා කරයි.

ඉරාන තෙල් අපනයනයෙන් සියයට 60 ක් ආසියාවටද ඉතිරිය 40% යුරෝපයටද වන බව වාර්තා කියයි.

නව ප්‍රවනතා අනුව ඉරානයේ කලින් සිටි සියළු සම්ප්‍රදායික තෙල් අපනයන රටවල් සමඟ යළි මේ සදහා සාකච්ඡා අරඹා ඇතැයි මෙම වාර්තා පවසයි.

ලංකාව මෙයට පෙර ඉරානයෙන් බොරතෙල් බැරල් 50,000 ක් දිනකට මිලදි ගෙන පිරිපහදුවට ලක් කිරිමේ ධාරිතාවයකින් යුතු වු බවත් සදහන්ය.

ඉරානයට සම්බාධක වැටුණු පසු මෙරට සෙෘදි අරාබියේ හා ඕමානයේ බොර තෙල් මත යැපුණි.

මෙම යැපිම නිසා දේශිය ඛනිජ තෙල් පිරිපහදුවෙන් නිපදවන ගෑස් නිෂ්පාදනය බිද වැටුණු බව ඛණිජ සම්පත් අමාත්‍ය සුසිල් ප්‍රේමජයන්ත කියා තිබිණි.


TEHRAN, Nov. 15 (MNA) – Referring to the launch of new talks with Sri Lanka to resume oil exports, deputy oil minister expressed Iran’s readiness to resume oil sales to the Asian country during post sanction era.

Roknoding Javadi described the latest status of resumption of Iranian crude exports to Sri Lanka in time with the cancellation of international sanctions and announced the beginning of Iran’s oil negotiations with Sri Lanka.

Managing director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) stressed that the resumption of Iran’s oil exports to various countries like Sri Lanka as well as traditional customers will be time-consuming, expressing Iran’s willingness to start over oil sales to the Asian country after sanction reliefs.

“Several negotiations have been conducted with almost all traditional customers of the Iranian oil over the past few months,” noted Javadi adding “all countries are seriously seeking to buy Iran’s crude and we expect to have good conditions in this regard.”

The official further pointed to the destinations of Iran’s oil exports; “approximately 40 per cent of Iran’s crude oil production will be sent to Europe while the remaining 60 per cent will be sold to the Asian market,” he highlighted.

Sri Lanka is estimated to demand about 50 thousand barrels of Iranian crude oil per day due to possessing only one refinery with a capacity of 50 thousand BPD. The country would import 40 to 50 thousand barrels of Iranian oil before the West had imposed illegal sanctions against Iran.

However, Saudi and Omani crude oil replaced the Iranian one in Sri Lanka’s refinery after the application of global sanctions against Iran.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's Petroleum Industries Minister Susil Premajayantha had said use of Saudi Arabia’s crude oil had led to a reduction in the country’s gas production.

Now crude oil reaches high 30s , good for a country like SL. Many analyst say(In Bloomberg Channel etc) trend in next year would be the same like in 2015. SL will be a special beneficiary with Iran re-entry to the scene.

Yes and we should not squander this opportunity.

Venezuela’s opposition alliance won a majority in Congress for the first time in 16 years in elections on Sunday as an unprecedented recession and a collapse in the bolivar turned voters against the populist policies of President Nicolas Maduro.

The exact size of the majority had yet to be determined. Preliminary results gave the opposition at least 99 seats of the 167 up for grabs in the National Assembly, while the government’s ruling socialist party took at least 46 seats, electoral council president Tibisay Lucena said early Monday on state television.
