Re: VFIN - where the journey leads it?
P/E - 5.7x
P/B - 1.5x
About the dividend - Total capital ratio is close to minimum level. Paying a higher dividend may be riskier.
May be we will see a rights or debenture issue soon? Or a Scrip dividend.

Please at least go through the MD's report from pages 16 to 19.
VFIN is on the right track and I strongly believe they will record Rs. 1 billion profit in 2 to 3 years time.
The upcoming branch openings are in Mount Lavinia, Borella, Balangoda, Hanwella, Dambulla, Nuwara Eliya and Katugastota. (Source annual report page 19).
They have clearly explained how the challenges been converted to opportunities. This reminds me the journey with LFIN around 7 years ago when they were small. The management is very creative and proactive. The new products are very successful. Eg: Auto draft
Expansion really helped them reaching new customers. For me this is a future gem.
This is my personal view and not a promotion.

I don't expect superb results in September quarter due to macro economy and unfavorable situation for leasing but VFIN is one of the most undervalued shares in the market for a solid medium / long term investment.
VFIN is a fast growing Finance company.

Re: VFIN - where the journey leads it?
VFIN should be valued over Rs. 100/= as they are expanding very fast opening new branches through out the country.
The journey continues well..........

Re: VFIN - where the journey leads it?
There will be a correction in mkt prices of VFIN, LFIN.( Both are too much undervalued )
Current PER is below 4.00 and PBV is 1.05
If mkt price reach 85.00, PER = 5.00, PBV = 1.33
If mkt price reach 102.00, PER = 6.00, PBV = 1.65
Last year EPS = 12.00 , This year EPS = 17.00 , 2018 March EPS = ?? minimum 22.00 , Then if they give Rs.2.50 dividend NAV as at march 2018 = 80.00,
Then within 12 months PER and PBV analysis will be like this.
Mkt price = 110.00, PER = 5.00, PBV = 1.40
Mkt price = 132.00, PER = 6.00, PBV = 1.65
Meanwhile if interest rates drop PER of 9.00 and PBV 2.00 is possible ( like in 2014 ).
Mkt price = 160.00, PER 7.40, PBV = 2.00
Any comments..

Re: VFIN - where the journey leads it?
VFIN is one of the most neglected share trading around 3.6 PER. VFIN performs much better than its competitors where others reported drop in earnings.
VFIN is a growing company and they keep on increasing the dividend every year. This June we can expect around 3.50 to 4.00 dividend which is a good yield.
VFIN deserves to trade at least 50% of the market PER. The market PER is 12.5 times and even if we discount 50% to market PER then VFIN should trade at 6 times PER making VFIN valued at Rs. 105 (17.5/= * 6 PER)
Soon many will realize the potential of VFIN and start collect this value gem.
