But i am expecting it might go up. I heard that there was foreign seller kept on selling last couple of weeks. Yesterday it was witnessed nearly 10Mn shares were changed hand. I think selling might over.
Expecting good quarter results with atleast 25 growth and dividend of Rs.75 in December

I would consider PLC as a very special case-study right now; a kind of bullish divergence.
The earnings during past two years show a very stable growing trend; which usually attract buyers and make the price to move up.
Here is the graphical view of the earnings trend.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
However, in the market, the price pattern shows a downward movement.
See the chart below.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
So, how can we explain this and use it for our advantage?
One explanation could be; the 2014 rally may have brought PLC to some 'over priced' level and now it is going through a correction period.
Another explanation could be; there may be some big holder wants to exit thus keep on selling and by doing so bringing the price down.
Whatever the explanation, by looking at the earnings and price trends, I see some good opportunity for swing traders as well long term investors.
There are strong support levels near 20 and near 16.
Earnings suggest me 20/ will be the bottom of the down swing this time.
Therefore, unless some major 'mix-up' takes place in country's financial situation, 20/ will be a great buy for traders to exit at 25/ and investors to keep at least for another 18 months.

This is something which I like.
Now if we read the thread from the beginning it start with past performance analysis, next current situation and now Technical analysis.
Just imagine if we can keep this kind of development for each share for 20 years ahead what a record we have for each share..
Thanx Hunter.. You are an asset to this forum

I posted many comments on this matter many many full moons ago and still they have not come up with a formula.
The ingredients of the formula should be:
- Weighted average oil price per barrel for a period based on actual contracts
- Weighted average USD/ LKR exchange rate based on FCY contracts with banks
- Opening / Closing stocks of purchased oil (centralized)
- Waste / Conversion factor cost
- Import Duties & tariffs
- Distribution & Logistics Costs
- Taxes
Rate = Total cost of imports divided by total oil imported during period.
Maybe there are some other hidden costs that are not mentioned above but should be included in the conversion costs.

Impairment is bit strange. They have added impairment this time while before they deducted it.
After June 2014, last quarter has shown the lowest profit before impairments

Now this is interesting, private sector leasing companies have to go door by door and market their products with effort. PLC and BoC ( MBSL also ? ) get there piece of cake witb ease.
