Re: LPL.N0000
People who comment usually are
1) those who hold a share and maybe like to
a) promote to dump
b) learn impartially
2) after they sell a share ( or want to collect)
- maybe to demote to buy cheaper
3) 1 in 1000, will comment for public education on shares they don't hold.
LPL is new to CSE. Anyway on LPL ( Laugfs Power)
* investors stay away until we know the financial details
* Trader stay away until the price settles down.
There maybe a trading op later ( every share will have trading ops sometime
or the other ) . Even ig trading note LPL.N and X are about same values now.
Pick N over X .
Right now , no info is there on financials or to find valuation.

Nihal, good question.
I might be wrong, but from what I recall Laugf power and Eco Sri
was supposed to be listed at CSE as an Introduction for a long time.
As such, you correctly asked what is the introduction price?
I could not find even a document announcing this listing at CSE when I checked.
If so this is very wrong and am not sure WHY CSE allowed this without
enough public info.
Even if they propose an introduction price, it does not mean LPL value is such.
Usually the first traded price of the day could be the introduction value
( am guessing only)
But we know how many introductions went wrong at CSE.
I really need to find atleast 1 latest financial document to understand
any valuation for this.
This is why I warned for sake of CSE people who don't know even what LPL is.

Laugfs Power Limited , the renewable energy subsidiary of Laugfs group, is to list its shares on the Diri Savi board of the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In a stock exchange filling recently, the company said that according to the listing documents filed with the CSE, the company plans to list 335,000,086 ordinary voting shares and 52,000,000 non-voting shares at reference prices Rs.8.80 and Rs.6.90 per share respectively.
Laugfs Power Limited was incorporated in 2006 as a fully owned subsidiary of Laugfs Gas PLC for the purpose of creating a standalone entity to operate in the renewable energy space.
Laugfs Power Limited commissioned its first mini hydro power plant in Balangoda with a 0.5 MW capacity. Laugfs Power Limited presently has four 100 percent owned subsidiaries that are involved in power generation via solar and mini hydro sources.
After the commissioning of the first mini hydro power plant in 2014, LPL entered a stage of rapid growth and acquired Ginigathhena Thiniyagala Mini Hydro Power (Pvt) Ltd, Anorchi Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Iris Eco Power Lanka (Pvt) Ltd and Pams Power (Pvt) Ltd in 2015.
With the exception of Pams Power (Pvt) Ltd, all other power plants commenced operations in FY2017. The Company, through its subsidiary Pams Power Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, is developing a 2MW mini hydro project which is expected to commence commercial operations in FY2020. This will increase the Group’s total capacity to 23.75 MW.
W K H Wegapitiya is the founder Chairman of LAUGFS Holdings Limited, the parent company of the LAUGFS Gas group in Sri Lanka, having its presence in a wide business spectrum, such as LPG distribution, Petroleum, Lubricants, Power generation, Property developments, Shipping, Heavy Engineering, Automobile services, Leisure and Restaurants, Consumer Retailing, Manufacturing of Salt, and Manufacturing of industrial solid tires.
He was appointed as the Executive Chairman and the Group CEO of LAUGFS Gas PLC at the time it was listed in the Colombo Stock Exchange in 2011.
As of now, Laugfs Holdings Limited owns 74.02% of shares of Laughs Power Limited. State-run private sector fund, Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) as the second largest shareholder owns 17.28% of the shares of the company.
The listing is carried out according to a shareholder resolution passed in March 2018 to segregate the subsidiaries of LGL which are not related to its core business of liquefied petroleum gas...

was going to be listed today and them giving a ref link to docs. Else how does
a normal person know until today

Okay , what I guess is the introduction price at Rs 8.8 .
Also if this is really valued at Rs 8.8 , why on earth is there crazy selling
at 30% less on first day. Something is not right here.
But we know how many introductions went wrong at CSE.
I really need to find atleast 1 latest financial document to understand

This is why I warned for sake of CSE people who don't know even what LPL is.

This Rs 8.8 is for listing at CSE.
The present holders would have been issued shares at cheaper than Rs 8.8.
So they are selling I presume.
This is how in the past some companies/people got to be bllionaires
dumping shares on public head.
I said in the above post there is something wrong with all this.

1) Look at the time of the complaint ( 9.47 am) that no docs on
LPL are at CSE.
2) Look at the time , CSE have made the announcements on LPL public
- 11.49 am to 12.23pm Oct 30th

*Subsequent to the segregation from LGL as mentioned in Section 4.5 – Objectives of the Listing and
in order to mirror the shareholding of LGL in LPL, the Board of Directors resolved to subdivide issued
fully paid Ordinary Voting Shares on 05 January 2018. The subdivision was carried out in the
proportion of 2.058511096 Ordinary Voting Shares for every one (1) Ordinary Voting Share in issue,
thereby increasing the Company Ordinary Voting Shares from 188,000,000 Ordinary Voting Shares to
387,000,086 Ordinary Voting Shares without effecting an increase in the Stated Capital of the
Company. Subsequently, on the same occasion, the Board of Directors resolved to reclassify
52,000,000 Ordinary Voting Shares as Ordinary Non-Voting Shares.
The above has been accomplished in accordance with the Companies Act and the Article five (5) of the
Articles of Association of the Company and was approved by the shareholder on 05 January 2018.

Now that you said it, I have vague memory too that these were removed from
laugf to list individually. We need to check.
I am still trying to find how much these holders got these shares for.
Can't find a reference as of now. If they got at zero ( by chance as you say)
they are selling in open market... god bless LPL.
( But I think about 75% of the shares are locked in so main holders can't sell.
But there is around 25% which still can be sold in market if they want to )
This introductory price at Rs 8.8 with a 30% loss in 1 day must
be one of the worst in history of CSE

Re: LPL.N0000
1) When I checked under LPL that morning ( around 9.45 am) , there were no documents listed under the share name . ( maybe it was located elsewhere)
2) Announcement were only issue later during the day after 11am ( as mentioned ) under normal CSE general announcements
3) Under LPL , later that day when I clicked doc the links , I could only open the research report by CAL . Other links had XML error issue
All these issues need to be organized better , specially when a share has started to trade.
At this forum , the LPL topic was opened by Ruwan and warnings were given within the first hours of trading
LPL.N was trading around Rs 6.4 or something
LPL.X was trading at 6.0
Specially asked not to touch LPL. X - at that time it was Rs 6.0
Now LPL.X is Rs 4.9
( LPL.N stood ground around Rs 6 but LPL.X went down further to Rs 4.
Hope it saved someone from burning their fingers.
