The hot air balloon is the oldest successful human-carrying flight technology. The first untethered manned hot air balloon flight was performed by Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier and François Laurent d'Arlandes on November 21, 1783, in Paris, France, in a balloon created by the Montgolfier brothers. Hot air balloons that can be propelled through the air rather than simply drifting with the wind are known as thermal airships.

A hot air balloon consists of a bag called the envelope that is capable of containing heated air. Suspended beneath is a gondola or wicker basket (in some long-distance or high-altitude balloons, a capsule), which carries passengers and (usually) a source of heat, in most cases an open flame. The heated air inside the envelope makes it buoyant since it has a lower density than the relatively cold air outside the envelope. As with all aircraft, hot air balloons cannot fly beyond the atmosphere. Unlike gas balloons, the envelope does not have to be sealed at the bottom since the air near the bottom of the envelope is at the same pressure as the air surrounding. For modern sport balloons, the envelope is generally made from nylon fabric and the inlet of the balloon (closest to the burner flame) is made from fire resistant material such as Nomex. Beginning during the mid-1970s, balloon envelopes have been made in all kinds of shapes, such as rocket ships and the shapes of various commercial products, though the traditional shape remains popular for most non-commercial, and many commercial applications.

2 PARAGLIDING

Paragliding is the recreational and competitive adventure sport of flying paragliders: lightweight, free-flying, foot-launched glider aircraft with no rigid primary structure. The pilot sits in a harness suspended below a fabric wing comprising a large number of interconnected baffled cells.

3 BASE JUMPS

A parachute jump from a fixed point, typically a high building or promontory, rather than an aircraft.



BASE jumping, also sometimes written as B.A.S.E. jumping, is parachuting or wingsuit flying from a fixed structure or cliff.

4 PARA MOTORING

Ahh Kith Ayya,I Above mentioned events are available in SL,but i dont think Bungee jump is available,if it's available,pls let me know..i was waiting for a long to have that experience tooooo

By the way, BASE is an acronym for  'buildings, antenna, spans (bridges) and earth (cliffs)', the types of fixed objects from which BASE jumps are carried out.

Sorry to be a wet blanket but given the pathetic lack of oversight of the smaller aviation outfits, which are run by well-connected business people, I personally wouldn't risk it with 'sport flying' here.

Many years ago an astrologer told me that I'd never die in the air, and I couldn't help telling him that most people that go flying die when they hit the ground. He wasn't amused!

I truly do not know about availability of bungee jumps in Sri Lanka. But I think Ramboda Falls Hotels annual report carry a picture of a bungee jumper.

Nope. Bungee jumping is not available. Even the gliding. Some restrictions imposed during the civil war have still not being lifted. Sky is still limited here.

Let's Go then.

Yah Im not sure Bungee jump is available,if it's available pls let me know,rest of the things (other than base jumps) are already in my basket

I think she kept all the things very closed and tied. otherwise disaster .
