Guys don't you think taking WB as an common example is bit unfair considering common investors? ..WB and even Darva are exemptions...
Try to do an analysis using sri lankan common investors and traders.... Profit/loss of long term investors and traders..

Janith, good try. Wisdom and understanding are two different things and trying for unimaginable is always the way for disruptive breakthroughs.

I have traded few markets worldwide and CSE is most illiquid market and developing a bot to operate in such a market is nightmare.

But please keep us updates

Did you managed to make any progress on this? Would like to collaborate since I'm also looking for the same information on how to programmatically access any of broker applications (DirectFN/Atrad/Intellect)

Seems like this thread has been posted in my 'idle' days.
(Not sure the interest is still there for automated trading idea)

I think DirectFN can easily be tweaked and used as an interface to Buy and sell automatically. e.g. certain key combinations can be passed to DirectFN, to buy or sell.

Anyway, in my view, programing or any technical matters are only minor secondary problems.
The prime question is, what is the trading rule going to generate profits consistently.
