Music anybody ?
Dear All,
Happy to announce BIG EARS in the courtyard, this Saturday (March 8th) at 7pm at the Goethe Institut on Gregory's Road.
Here's what's on the cards:
Doe Eye – Isaac Smith performs solo on the Banjo.
Båliphonics – Båliphonics amalgamates the music of low-country bali rituals with avant-garde jazz. Fresh from a South East Asian tour of Singapore and Malaysia, Båliphonics will celebrate the release of their debut album at this Big Ears.
Serendib Sorcerers – Following up from their well received ‘Jana Gee Reworked’ concert at ColomboSCOPE, the sorcerers feature the voice of Madhawee Shilpadhipathi in their journey to explore Sri Lankan folk songs in a modern jazz context.
Thriloka – Thriloka’s much awaited return to Big Ears will kick off a number of appearances in local festivals this year as well the release of their new DVD
Derek Beckvold, who is our resident saxophonist for the next few months will be collaborating with sound artist Isuru Kumarasinghe for a performance.
Hope to see you there!
