If the hotel sectors profit directly proportional to tourist arrivals we can safely assume that June Quarter profits would be lower than that of March Quarter.

My Friend, It is usual that Hotel performances are directly linked to the seasonal effect, Normally April to June Qtr is the lowest performing period for most of the Hotels..
Therefore we should not compare June Qtr results with March Qtr but we should compare the June Qtr figures with the last Yr same Qtr.
I strongly beleive this year April to June Qtr will give good results for many hotels due to the lower interest rate factor and increase in Tourist arrival...
Sri Lanka tourist arrivals up 25 – pct in July, 2014
August 05, 2014 (LBO) Sri Lanka's tourist arrivals rose 25.2 percent to 133,971 in June 2014 from a year earlier, by driven by China and India, data from the state tourism promotion office showed.
In the first seven months of 2014 arrivals were up 24.7 percent to 861,324.
South Asian visitors were up 27.9 percent to 26,681 with arrivals from India, Sri Lanka top market, up 30.4 percent to 19,277.
Visitors from Maldives were up 55.5 percent to 4,892 and Pakistan was down 40.5 percent to 1,227.
East Asian visitors were up 68.8 percent to 25,810 with arrivals from China up 172.2 percent to 15,178.
In the seven months to July, visitors from China were up 144.2 percent to 67,408 compared to 82,815 from Britain up 6.4 percent.
Malaysian visitors were up 58.6 percent to 1,684, Japanese were up 43.9 percent to 3,203 and Indonesia was down 32.8 percent to 1,063.
Visitors from Western Europe were up 10.3 percent 54,857 in the month with UK up 1.6 percent to 16,692 and Germany up 12.7 percent to 7,921.
Western European visitors are strong in the northern hemisphere winter season and when Sri Lanka's Western coast is sunny and calm until the monsoon season starts in May.
Eastern European arrivals were up 35.7percent to 6,323 with Russia up 40 percent to 2,649, But Ukraine was down 17.3 percent to 1029.
Middle Eastern visitors were up 55 percent to 5,998 with arrivals from Saudi Arabis up 123.1 percent to 1,785 and UAE up 256 percent to 833 while Oman tourist arrivals was up 43 percent to 389 the data showed.
In the middle of the year, Middle Eastern arrivals were becoming an important segment of visitors to keep the hotel industry ticking.
Sri Lanka tourism authority targets 2.5 million tourists by 2016. The island achieved 1.2 million tourists in the year 2013 up from 26.7 from a year earlier.
