Asiri Central Hospitals PLC has entered into an agreement to sell and transfer the land and premises bearing No. 37, Horton Place, Colombo 07 for a total consideration of Rupees 2.6 billion.
The sale would be concluded only upon the buyer completing a due diligence within 90 days of the due agreement, says Asiri Central Hospitals PLC.
Following Softlogic Limited relocating Asha Central Hospitals to Norris Canal Road the Horton Place hospital had been offered on lease to the Sri Lanka Army.
The Saudi Arabian Embassy is located near the Asha Central Hospital and the Sri Lanka Army has also now upgraded its existing hospital at Elvitigala Mawatha to an ultra modern, state of the art hospital and recently reopened to cater to all the armed forces personnel.

Buy a stake in Cargills bank or any other B&F stake?
Make his FIs bigger?
Reduce borrowings?

Only -Approx- 46% of ASIR is held by SHL.
Hence I think he will do something under ASIR and it will come to SHL group accounts.

Ashok gets Rs. 9 m per perch in mega deal
Asiri Central Hospitals Plc yesterday announced it has entered into an agreement to sell and transfer the 293 perch land and premises at Horton Place, Colombo 7 for Rs. 2.6 billion.
As per the deal the price works out to Rs. 9 million per perch.
The transaction is subject to Asiri Central obtaining shareholder approval at a General Meeting since this amount to a major transaction as per Section 185 of the Companies Act of 2007.
Asiri said in terms of the agreement, the sale will be concluded only upon the buyer completing a due diligence within 90 days of the execution of the agreement.
Real estate sources speculated the buyer was an individual and the deal being managed by a firm of chartered accountants as well as a law firm.
