Very sad day for ODI Cricket. Sad

Not only for Sri Lanakns but also for all the Cricket lovers.
We are going to miss two true ledgends.
We are really lucky and should really be proud to cheer them and seeing them play.
Sure great memory to pass on to our next generation.

This is a match I rather not talk about. Result seemed like a uzbekistan vs SA game. Sad is not the word.
I guess you win some you loose some. Hope the young cricketers learnt something from the mistakes made.
Anyway we will not be angry at our cricketers like some other countries. They have done good before.

For me, still writing in Sinhala is difficult and time consuming.
(I struggle with no success to write my second name in Sinhala).
I was wondering, if there is some programme that can transfer our handwritten work (written using a styles) into type setting format.
Over to you Chutiputha (one of the specialist on this subject). Very Happy

සුක්කානම නව පරපුරට. අර්ජුන හශාන් රොශාන් අරවින්දලාගෙන් එක පරපුරක් ඉවර උනා. ඒ පරපුර ආසියානු තනතීරුවල අතිදක්ශයින්. නමුත් ඔස්ට්‍රෙලියාවේ දකුනු අප්‍රිකාවේ දුර්වල පිතිකරුවන්. 2000 පස්සේ සුක්කානම මාවන් සන්ගා මහේල ඩිලී වගේ අයට ආවා. මේ අය ඕන තනතීරුවක හොදට ගහන්න පුලුවන් පිතිකරුවන්. නමුත් මේ අයගේ ගොඩක් පහරවල් බිම දිගේ ගැහුවේ. මේ අයට අවසාන වසර 4දී හැරෙන්න වේග පන්දු යවන්නන්ට මිඩොන් මිඩෝෆ් අතරින් උඩින් පහරක් ගහන්න හැකියාවක් තිබුනේ නැහැ. දැන් සුක්කානම කුසල් මැතිවුස් තිසර චන්දිමාල් වගේ අයට ඇවිත් තියෙනවා. මේ අය ඉන්නේ ඉස්සර සන්ගාලා පටන් ගත්ත තැනට වඩා ගොඩක් උඩින්. ජයසුරිය ජයසුරිය කෙනෙක් වෙන්න අවුරුදු 6 විතර ගියා. නමුත් කුසල් එක අවුරුද්දකින් සනත්ගෙන් බාගයක් වෙලා පෙන්නවා. චන්දිමාල් ඇන්ජි වගේ අයත් ගොඩක් දක්ශයි. මේ අය තව අවුරුදු 2ක් දෙන්න ඔන.

Now its panas andiriya now, even with kannadi I find sinhala font a strain to read, except ET's font.

We are out of the world cup 2015 and its not the loss of being thrown out of the tournament that is felt but it is the loss of two of our greatest cricketers ever who makes us feel so sad as the tournament goes on.
We should have done better at least to give these two great's a memorable farewell like India did in the last world cup to Sachin but it was not to be Thanks to those in charge, who should take full responsibility for such a drab performance particularly the fitness of our cricketers during the tournament.
If you look back, our first weak point was our inability to fix the opening and middle order sloths during this world cup and had you folowed the tournament closely you would have easily noted the confidence of those in charge as they just brought in and brought out players to suit the situation throwing panic as the confidence level of the team drops when you keep moving guys around and bringing in replacements whilst the tournament is in progress. We did not see this with the other teams present which shows our selectors had absolutely no idea and just gambled with their choice when most of the other teams had their opening and middle order sloths fixed long before the tournament began.
To make things worse what on earth did the trainers do about the fitness of our cricketers as we saw no less than 4 of our regular players fail to live up to the fitness levels required for a tournament of this sort where you start training at least two years prior to the tournament. Having played the game myself at a high level, I know for certain we have more than one trainer and what have these guys being doing, we may have even lost that match to Australia and even that quarter final with a 80% probability due to fitness as Chandimal had to walk out of the Australian match when he was about to set a record and then we had no more than three of the better cricketers sit on the bench during yesterdays quarter final. Let me remind you that we never faced this situation when we prepared for the 96 world cup, the openers and the middle order were permanent and the fitness within the team including captain cool was absolutely 100% even more if you had asked me then.
At least lets learn from these mistakes and take it from here and ensure we will not repeat these same mistakes ever again.

Unfortunately, now we have no President to blame.
MY3 is less concerned about Cricket at the moment.
So we need to find someone to pin the blame of the defeat.
( I think some found someone for that now ).
One Team has to win and other has to lose.
That is the nature of the game.
It was known to be the Gentlemen's game.
But it is no longer.
Now it is Bookies game.
The so called Gentlemen have already sold their soul for few extra buck by dropping a catch or skying a fully tossed up ball when it should have easily been over the ropes on another occasion.
I have played a bit of cricket (but not to very high levels) but when I see something is being played funny, I know it is not right.
( Can anyone remember finding substantial amount of cash in one of the cricketer's room by a housekeeping staff after he left the room? What happened to the investigation and now same people are teaching younger ones how to win matches ).
Now I rather read a good book than watch those fascicles being played.

දැන් මාර්කට් එක දිහ බලා ඉන්නවිට වමනය යන නිසා මෙවැනි දෙයක් කියවීමෙන් හිතට යම් සහනයක් ලැබෙනව. පාසලින් ඉවත් වුනු පසුව සිංහල ලිවිම බොහොදුරට අඩු වේගෙන ගියා. 10 පන්තිය වෙනකම් සිංහල විෂයක් විදියට ඉගෙන ගත්තා. ගුරුතුමාගෙ වෙවැල් පහරට බයේ සිංහල කවි පාඩම් කරපු හැටි තවම මතකයි. නැවත කාලයකට පසු සිංහල භාෂාෙවන් යමක් යලිව්විමට හැකිවිම ගැන සතුටු වෙමි.
