Last month, Cory Jones, a top editor at Playboy, went to see its founder Hugh Hefner at the Playboy Mansion.
In a wood-paneled dining room, with Picasso and de Kooning prints on the walls, Mr. Jones nervously presented a radical suggestion: the magazine, a leader of the revolution that helped take sex in America from furtive to ubiquitous, should stop publishing images of naked women.
Mr. Hefner, now 89, but still listed as editor in chief, agreed. As part of a redesign that will be unveiled next March, the print edition of Playboy will still feature women in provocative poses. But they will no longer be fully nude.

It is better to face up to reality and try to do something about it, than to slowly sink. They seem to have identified a niche to cling on to for survival.

Hugh Hefner only now understands that there is a risk to his business by showing it all in an instant.
The younger generation want instant gratification and then lose interest the very moment they have experienced it leading to a loss in the customer base.
For any business to proper the customers should return again and again and ultimately become loyal customers or life long customers.
With the new strategy the customer will keep on coming until the full eclipse is seen very well at close quarters and climaxes with a full moon.
The magazine cannot afford the USD 1 million per expose as the customer base is now low.
Anyway, there is a saturation of ethics and morals in society so that it doesn't make sense to PAY and see.
Now it is only do and then PAY for the rest of ones life!

I think the demand is declining with many other porn sites available and spread through net .

I think Hugh Hefner should immediately consult our 'New Olympia' (cinema) guys.
They were brilliant at 'dressing up' some snaps and make cutouts near main roads.
And after couple of rains, the dresses would wash away.
