Army deserter bites cop’s genitals

A Sub Inspector whose penis was bitten by a drunkard on Sunday night near the Kosgoda Duwemodara level crossing is out of danger following a successful operation performed by the doctors of the Balapitiya hospital.
A high ranking police officer, investigating the incident, told The Island that two army deserters, drinking near the level crossing, had assaulted the gate keeper. A police team had been dispatched to the scene in response to a call, he said.
Then the two suspects turned on the police personnel and one of them bit the victim’s penis. His teeth had pierced the victim’s trousers, the officer said.
There had been a one-and-a-half inch cut in the victim’s penis and immediate surgical care had saved his life, the officer said.
The suspects were remanded till April 06 by the Balapitiya Magistrate.
