එහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් මුදල් අමාත්‍යවරයා කියා සිටියේ ඒ වෙනුවෙන් මෙතෙක් ලබා දී ඇති බදු සහනයන් ඉදිරියටත් අඛණ්ඩව ක්‍රියාත්මක කරනු ලබන බවයි.
තවද 2017/18 වර්ෂය තුළ කොළඹ කොටස් හුවමාරුව තුළ අලුතින් ලැයිස්තුගත කරන සමාගම් සඳහා 2017 ලැයිස්තුගත කිරීමට පෙරාතුව වර්ෂ තුනක ගෙවූ මුළු ආදායම් බද්දෙන් සියයට සමාන ප්‍රදානයක් හිමි වනු ඇති බව ද මුදල් අමාත්‍යවරයා මෙහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කරන ලදී.
මේ අතර ලැයිස්තුගත සුරැකුම්, ලාභාංශ, ඒකක භාර සහ වෙනත් ආයේජන මගින් ලැබෙන ආදායම් සඳහා වූ බදු නිදහස් කිරීම් ඉවත් කිරීමටත්, ද්විතීයික වෙළෙඳපොළෙහි සුරැකුම්පත් ගනුදෙනු සඳහා පනවා තිබූ මතිමාත්‍ර බදු බැර (Notional Tax Credit) ද ඉවත් කරනු ලබන බව මෙවර අයවැය මගින් යෝජනා වී තිබේ.

බැංකු සහ අනෙකුත් මූල්‍ය සමාගම් මඟින් සිදු කෙරෙන “ඊෂි කෑෂ“ ද ඇතුළු මුදල් ගනුදෙනු සඳහා මූල්‍ය ගනුදෙනු ගාස්තුව නමින් රු. 10,000 කට රු. 5 ක නව බද්දක් හඳුන්වා දීමට මෙවර අයවැයෙන් යෝජනා වී ඇත.

I think FTL is paid by banks and institution,
in this report it's stated as "A Financial Transaction Levy at 0.05% on the basis of the total transaction value by banks or financial institutions"

This is worst than the capital gain tax ? Capital gain tax is limited to 10%. But
Profits from investment on listed securities could go more than that
1.6 Tax Incentives on Investments
1.6.5 Removal of certain exemptions
Following exemptions will be removed with effect from 1 April 2017 -
(i) Dividends to be identified;
(ii) Interest income to be identified;
(iii) Profits from investment on listed securities and other instruments;
(iv) Exemption up to LKR5,000 per month on interest on savings accounts;
(v) Exemption on interest on deposits made by the senior citizens will be limited to
LKR1.5Mn per annum.

I should correct my above comment. However, still budget is not approved and more details and ammendments might come. And I ask from some bankers, they saying it will charged by customers, if this is approved, but they say bankers are against FTL and Ravi K might to take his step back as same as on his previous budget.

Regarding Corp Taxes: reducing exemptions is a good thing policy-wise. However the rate of corp taxation needs to be reduced over a period of time. Ex: Corp tax to about 20% within 5-6 years.
Considering tax revenue to GDP and increasing it is not a good decision although IMF also has requested it.
