You"ll have done wrong.
The person who added value/input for your own/forum protection was not
included in group.
I do not want to be part of this anymore. Take me out of this group

Re: 104 Technical trading experiments by HUNTER
1) When noone did, one person added ideas to protect the experiment, Hunter himself and the forum. If the same person is not added/taken off the group
Hunter formed , there is something wrong . You"ll have not thought right.
2) A second big mistake is also happening as far as I see. I added all info for public transparency and to protect the forum/Hunter. Now you"ll are forming a restricted / hidden from public group . This can easily raise the eye brows and allow speculations and attacks from those who can.
a) YOU"LL HAVE NOT THOUGHT THIS THROUGH .
b) Wrong was done.
Do remove me from this group ( if I am added now)

There was no removal. Admin had restricted access by anyone; we are now adding 'selected' members one by one on request.
I guess all here want SLS, added with your consent.
You still want removed or kept added?

Not in particular order.
* We will stick to just one technique (one trading set up) to buy our trade. (We will discuss and decide on this 'set up' in coming days.
* Once a week, we will find a counter with our 'set-up' and invest the pre-defined amount of money in this counter.
* Once the traded counter reaches the intended profit level, we will sell and mark profits.
* We will not execute any stop losses; i.e. not sell at a loss. In CSE, commissions are so high that taking stop-losses are mostly work against us.
* Since we are not using stop-losses, we need to strictly control our risks by limiting the exposure on any single trade. So, we will put only 1% of our risk capital in one trade. That also means, we will have enough cash to execute nearly all intended 104 trades in this experiment.
What do you all think?
Trading without a Stop loss /Not sell at a loss. I don't think its a good Idea.
Better is to set upon selling point in the same trading set-up or have a predetermined Stop loss before we get in to the position.
In my view the one you stated will work better in an investment on a share based on Fundamentals on Particular share or particular sector. Specially with the Interim's are coming we can find turnaround Companies.
Yes I'm also, almost always, advise using stop-losses. If most of us here suggest using stop losses in this experiment, let's do so.
Dear all,
Please suggest what do you prefer; use a stop-loss or not?

Re: 104 Technical trading experiments by HUNTER
When we take all the concerns at bunch what I think is the most better way is you to continue this with or without any participation like what I did with Pivot Point thread. Actually I've initiated it as a kind of research and I've proved the way how it's going to work exactly with the actual market sentiment in different time periods. If you can initiate this in that way many of us here can get the benefit from it. Appreciate your comments here.

The problem is, forum members cannot see this thread as it is restricted.
We need to find a way of suitable members can see the thread first.

Re: 104 Technical trading experiments by HUNTER
How much to invest and Risked in this Experiment.
===============================
I would like the participants to put equal amount of money in one trade. (not buying any fixed number of shares per trade)
Unlike those days, you can by any odd number of shares to match your target amount now.
For new comers to trading without a big risk capital;
I suggest putting anything between Rs 200 ~ 2,000/- per trade.
Considering 104 trades in this experiment, we can imagine a worst case investment of Rs 40,800/- ~ Rs 408,000/- for the period of 2 years.
However, considering an average hold time of 6 months, all you need to have in hand for this is around Rs 10,000/- ~ 100,000/- in total.
How much you can loose:
Usually, the SL we use will be less than 20%.
So, if we loose all our trades, we will have the risk of loosing about Rs 8,000/- 80,000/- depending on what you plan to invest.
If we win all trades, we might end up with a total profit of about Rs 12,000/- ~ 120,000/-
Considering a practical possibilities, most probably, we will end up with small marginal net profit at the end of the experiment period.

Do you have any questions?
