Need info /help on CANCER Treatment

Treat this as if it happened to your own and try to help with any info you know please

There is relation of a certain member of this forum who appears to have a Major liver cancer ( late stages). There are other complications too. Time is running out. One spesialist has said there is nothing to b done now !


I did already what I can by knowledge sharing. Even now am doing via other methods ( not this forum) what I can do to find that person further info in time of distress.

For ethics, without that persons permission I will not divulge the name
( as it will not be necessary) but please treat this as of your own and help with any info if you can .

I suggested what I knew but further inputs from others will surely help as it about a life.

Please state if you know

1) what other good Western medicine referrals are there mainly in Sri Lanka and India. Fancy cost of US and Singapore is prohibitive as that family is not a Politico or
Rich .

2) do you know of any Ayurvedic Doctors who is reknowned to cure Cancer


3) other methods know to anyone ( non western med ) that has some given hope to a Cancer patient ?

I have sent that person info on what Foods to eat that can fight free radicals.
Things like Manioc , Soursap, Poms , Tumeric are some of them.

Also external things like keeping positive mind ( there are known cases in history that mind has cured certain diseases. Let not riducle such as mind can effect body chemistry )

Also some people ( at my other sources) are sending me info right now. Am filtering anything useful if any that can be used now before I send . Some info I got are on new research hope /research done on cancer fighting like with Karavila Seeds , big Vitamin dosages , and even extracts from Elephants ( yes ... ) but will not help that patient at this time. So need effective info as of now.


I said extra stuff as it may help another.

Already, our dock has volunteered to help. I am sure he will try his best and will be effective more than anyone in that line of 'treatment'.

On the other line of treatment; if you have cancer or not, be prepared to die tomorrow; do what you have to do today; make something little to bring a smile to the person you live with/meet because there will not be a tomorrow for you to make him/her happy.

And finally, make yourself the happiest person today because there will not be a tomorrow to do it again.

in sri lanka there is no western treatment for liver cancer. they may give chemotherapy but it is useless and patient will suffer more . but Apollo chennai is doing liver transplants but i do not know have details about the success rate.   local oncologists have good contacts with the doctors there. Contact the oncologist of chennai appollo thru a sri lankan doctor(referral ) and send  all the reports to him to get an opinion. if they say it can be treated , the patient should be taken immediately . liver cancers are very dangerous, everything will be over within few months if untreated   . better keep the patient happy and engage in  religious activities to keep minds strong.miracles can happen and  have happened also.

3)  Also am collecting info I received from various other sources to filter out the useful and  send  as summary ( when in distress one can't read everything I am sure) .


4) For everyone info ( to all of us who can be victim to disease anytime) 

I did receive quite few latest research done on  cancer cure  . Things are getting  promising.  But there are bottleneck implementing them later ( think politics , pharma company games etc ) . That a separate article to write about I guess.

Anyway some current research includes

a)  extracts  from Elephants  . Believe it or not.. though elephant are supposed to be having massive number of cells due to size and logically more prone to cancer, they are almost cancer free !  So there is a chemical in the elephant that might help us humans in the future. Research has proven good results already !
 
b) Karavilla seeds ( Bitter Gourd seeds)  research  done by Uni of Peradeniya  

c) Adjuvant therapies  

etc etc

But issue is some of these will not be useful as the patient is running out of time with multiple complications




5) As I said I can't reveal too much ( without the persons  consent) , but I can say below after my communication  . Situation is not rosy

a) Liver cancer appears to be at Stage  4 from what I gathered

b) not only Liver Cancer but there are several other complications.

c) Lanka Hospital Specialist has already said  nothing could be done now

d) they are already trying Manioc , Sour Sap and other food based stuff and I referred other Anti oxidant food too.

e) several other West Med Consultations are on the way  to get more( second/third)  opinions  

f) I know Liver Cancer is hard one to detect early and difficult one to treat .  As Poor Boy said Western Med  situation on SL right now is not promising and has less options

I have already suggested the indian option. Taking patient to fancy western countries  is not an option.


So please keep useful/constructive info coming on this thread . The person will read it.

Also please take care to not make insensitive remarks. That person surely needs consolation to make things hopeful/easier. Not worse.

I just received good news on a  FIRST HAND  real case of  a Liver cancer patient who was deemed by Western Med to be incurable ( only 3 months to live) but after other methods ... now scans show cancer cells  have receded / controlled! This happened in SL.  So there is HOPE.

This is real case comes from an  educated person personally known to me. So feel happy I can pass it on .

It  was  just sent  on my  real FB ( not slstock page)  via PM . So I don't know I cannot reveal much in public.

But summary of nice story is  

a) That patient was  asked to do operation  by hospital. Was given 3 months live also. But many other West med docs adviced against it due to patient age. Targeted Chemo was applied but not sure it helped .

b) So the patient was taken to 2 Non traditional docs .
After Some food intakes ,  meditation/relaxation  ( and maybe also the earlier chemo helped a bit )

now patient is  still living and cancer controlled.

Am happy the last 18 hours so hours I spent thinking to help the member is reaping info from various sources . Who knows one of us might face this situation in the future.  

I mainly posted this first  hand story to say  ... those who are down thinking there is no hope .. think again.   There is hope in this world even when everyone says there is none . Like when most people say there is no hope for CSE , CSE is showing some hope now. Same applies to life too

I think this is not any April First joke as such.

One of my close relations had bowl cancer. It was discovered at late stages & died two years ago. Millions of rupees were wasted for western treatment in vain. No serious attempt was made for alternative methods. If one follows any method either eastern or western, one has to have faith in it.

This patient I referred to was single, very religious but had his own fixed ideas about illnesses, medicine, food, people and ways of living etc., & was not ready to change them. This trait brought out disastrous results.

The comments by Kith & all others are fine & I have nothing to add, but to supplement all of them I would like to look at it from Buddhist's point of view.

As YY also said, all beings live for a short period of time & die one day and start a new life elsewhere, either in a Sugathiya (as a human or in divine) or Dugathiya(in hell or such bad places). The place of new birth is determined by what Kamma was remembered immediately prior to the death.

All beings live by food.
Food means, not only rice & curry etc., but many other things we never thought as food. While all we eat, drink, swallow, apply outward are considered as food there are other things as well which are very important and considered as FOOD.

For example, even medicine, good wishes of others and happy or sad feelings are also considered food. This example gives you the depth of the word Food as explained by Lord Buddha.

Hence, right type of food at right portions at right times keeps the beings healthy. Even meditation helps.

If one can keep his mind controlled, that itself is enough to live a healthy life. Controlled mind keeps him informed of the realities of life, controls his intake of food(in that wider sense) too.

In addition, one needs to be mindful of the impermanence of life(there is no thing called Amaraneeya. One dies when his time comes what ever food or drug he takes) and importance of Dana, Seela & Bawana which compliments his "diet" in that wider sense and keep all deceases under control.

If one can do this he need not worry about illnesses what-ever it is.

කෘෂිකර්ම දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ උද්‍යාන බෝග දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ කුමුදු අබේකෝන් මහතා සමග සාකච්ඡා කරලා සතියකට කරවිල කිලෝ දහයක්‌ ලබා ගත්තා. ඒවායෙහි ඇති කරවිල ඇට යොදාගෙන ඔයිල් ලබා ගත්තා.

ඔන්න ඒ එක්‌කම අපේ පර්යේෂණ ක්‍රියාවලිය පටන් ගත්තා. ජාතික පර්යේෂණ සභාව ඒ සඳහා අපට මූල්‍ය දායකත්වය ලබා දුන්නා. ඔවුහු නොසිටින්න අපි තවමත් මුල් අදියරේ. කොළඹ වෛද්‍ය පර්යේෂණ ආයතනය විසින් සත්තු ලබා දුන්නා.

මූලික පර්යේෂණ කටයුතු සඳහා මවුස්‌ නමින් හඳුන්වන කුඩා මීයන් තිහක්‌ පමණ යොදා ගත්තා. නිරෝගී මියන් එක්‌ කණ්‌ඩායමකට අපි මාස හයක්‌ පුරා කරවිල ඇටයේ ඇති ඔයිල් එක දුන්නා. කාටවත් ඒවා විස වුණේ නැහැ. පසුව තවත් මීයන් කණ්‌ඩායමකට පිළිකා සෛල ලබා දුන්නා. ඒ අනුව එක්‌ එක්‌ මියන්ගේ අක්‌මාවේ, පියයුරුවල, ස්‌නායුවල, රුධිරයේ, අමාශයේ, බඩවැල්වල පිළිකා වර්ධනය කළා. පිළිකා හැදුන මීයන් ආයෙත් වර්ග කළා. ඉන් එක කණ්‌ඩායමකට කරවිල ඔයිල් එක දුන්නා. අනෙක්‌ කණ්‌ඩායමට කරවිල ඔයිල් එක නොදී සිටියා. මාස දෙකක්‌ එක දිගටම ඒ පර්යේෂණය සිදු කරද්දී අපට පැහැදිලිව දක්‌නට ලැබුණා.. පිළිකා සෛල වර්ධනය වූ මීයන්ට කරවිල ඔයිල් දුන්නාම සෛල වර්ධනය අඩාල වන හැටි සහ යළි නිරෝගිමත්භාවයට පත්වන අයුරු. ඔයිල් නොදී සිටි පිළිකා වර්ධනය වූ මීයන් අතර මගදී විවිධ රෝගයන්ට ගොදුරු වෙලා මිය ගියා. තවත් සමහරුන්ගේ සිරුර පුරා පිළිකාව වර්ධනය වුණා. බෙහෙත දීපු මීයෝ කණ්‌ඩායමත් අපි පර්යේෂණ සඳහා සිරුර අභ්‍යන්තරයේ පරීක්‌ෂණ කළා. එතනදි සමහර මීයන්ගේ අක්‌මාව නැවත යථා තත්ත්වයට පත්වෙලා තියෙනවා දැක ගන්න පුළුවන් වුණා. අපි බෙහෙවින් සතුටට පත්වුණ එක්‌ අවස්‌ථාවක්‌ තමයි ඒ.

ඒත් අපි පර්යේෂණ නතර කළේ නැහැ. නැවතත් මවුස්‌ලා අසූවක්‌ ගෙනැත් පර්යේෂණ ආරම්භ කළා. මවුස්‌ලා කණ්‌ඩායම් හතරකට බෙදුවා. එතනදි අපි කණ්‌ඩායම් තුනකට පිළිකා වර්ධනය කළා. පිළිකා නැති කණ්‌ඩායම තමයි හතර වැනි කණ්‌ඩායම. මේ කණ්‌ඩායම් හතරටම බෙහෙත් දෙනවා. ඒ අතරේ පිළිකා වර්ධනය වී ඇති බෙහෙත් ලබා දෙන අතරේ පිළිකා සෛලත් ලබා දෙන කණ්‌ඩායම ගැන දිගුකාලීනව පර්යේෂණ පවත්වමින් සිටිනවා. තවත් කණ්‌ඩායමක්‌ පිළිකා ඇතිව දිගුකාලීනව බෙහෙත් ගන්නවා. අනෙක්‌ කණ්‌ඩායම කඩින් කඩ බෙහෙත් ගන්නවා. අපි දිගින් දිගටම මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් අවධානය යොමු කරනවා.

හොරොව්පොතන වාහල්කඩ මංගලාරාමය රෝගී ජනතාවගේ ලෙඩ සුව කරන ඉසිවර අරණකි. සෑම තරාතිරමකම රෝගී ජනතාව ඒ පුණ්‍ය භූමියේ කූඩාරම්ගතව රැඳී සිටින්නේ ලෙඩ දුක්‌වලට ප්‍රතිකාර ලබාගැනීමටය. පිළිකා, වකගුඩු වැනි මාරාන්තික රෝග ඇතුළුව සෑම රෝගයකටම එම ස්‌ථානයේදී ප්‍රතිකාර ලබාදෙනු ලැබේ. වාහල්කඩ මංගලාරාමාධිපති හිමියන් පවසන පරිදි ප්‍රතිකාර කරනු ලබන්නේ සත්පත්තිනි මැණියන්ගේ දේව වරමකිනි. ආගම් බේද, ජාති බේද එහි නැත. අසරණ වී මංගලාරාමයට පැමිණෙන ඕනෑම රෝගියකුට පත්තිනි මෑණියන්ගේ අභිමතය පරිදි ප්‍රතිකාර කරනු ඇත. සත් පත්තිනි මෑණියන්ගේ ප්‍රාතිහාර්ය බලයෙන් හෝ රටේ රෝගී ජනතාවට සහනයක්‌ ලැබේ නම් එය වාසනාවකි. එවැනි පහන් සිතිවිලිවලින් සිත පුරවාගෙන විහාරාධිපතීන් වහන්සේ සමඟ ඒ පින්බිමේ ඇති කූඩාරමක්‌ ගානේ ඇවිද ගොස්‌ රෝගීන් සමඟ අපි කතා බහ කළෙමු. රෝගීන් අපට කියූ කතා ගැන මෙන්ම මේ පින්බිමේ හාස්‌කම් ගැන දැන් අපි ඔබට කියන්නෙමු. මේ පෙළගැසෙන්නේ එම කතා මාලාවේ හත්වැනි කොටසය.

වෛද්‍යවරු ජීවත් කරවන්න නොහැකි යෑයි කියූ රඹෑව ගිනිකටුවැව ප්‍රසාදනීට වාහල්කඩ ඉසිවර අරණේදී ජීවිතය ලැබුණු හැටි පසුගිය සතියේදී අපි ඔබට කීවෙමු. අතරමඟ නතර වූ උසස්‌ පෙළ කඩ ඉම පසු කර ජීවිතය ජය ගන්නා හැටි ප්‍රසාදනී ජයග්‍රාහීව කතා කළ හැටි දැනුදු මට මැවී පෙනේ. ඇයට අප සමඟ කියන්නට තව බොහෝ දේ ශේෂව තිබූ බව දැනිණි. එහෙත් ඇය ප්‍රතිකාර ලබන කූඩාරම ඉදිරිපිට අපි ඔවුන් සමඟ කතාබහ කරමින් සිටින දිහා ඈත සිට වියපත් පියෙක්‌ බලා සිටියි. ඔහු ද දෑස්‌ දල්වා බලා සිටින්නේ අප සමඟ කතාබහ කිරීමට කැමැත්තෙනි. එහෙයින් අපි ප්‍රසාදනීලාගෙන් සමුගෙන පෙරමඟ බලා සිටි පුද්ගලයා අසලට ගියෙමු.

හු ටී. ඩී. දයානන්දය. අම්පාර ග්‍රාම සේවා අංක 04 1/8 නිවසේ පදිංචි ගෘහ මූලිකයාය. වයස අවුරුදු 57 කි. එක්‌දරු පියෙකි. ගල්ඔය වැවිලි සමාගමේ රියෑදුරෙකු ලෙස සේවය කරගෙන යන අතරතුර ඔහු අසනීප වී ඇත.

''කාලයක්‌ කැස්‌ස හොඳ වෙන්නෙම නැතුව තිබුණා. සෙම ගතියකුත් තිබුණා. ඒක ටික කාලයක්‌ යනකොට හතියට ආවා. ඩිස්‌පැන්සරිවලින් බෙහෙත් ගත්තා අඩු වුණේම නෑ. පස්‌සේ අපි අම්පාර ජාතික රෝහලට ඇතුළත් වුණා. වෛද්‍යවරු පරීක්‍ෂණ කරලා බලලා පෙනහලුවල පිළිකාවක්‌ තියෙනවා කියලා කිව්වා. සියලු ජීවිත බලාපොරොත්තු අතහැර ගත්තා. ඒත් මැරෙනකම් සතුටින් ජීවත් වෙනවා කියලා හිතාගෙන වෛද්‍යවරු කිව්ව විදිහට බෙහෙත් පාවිච්චි කළා. එක දිගට මාස හයක්‌ විතර වෛද්‍ය සායනවලට සහභාගි වෙලා ප්‍රතිකාර, වෛද්‍ය උපදෙස්‌ ලබා ගත්තා. කිසිම සුවයක්‌ නැති තැන කොළඹ නාරාහේන්පිට පෞද්ගලික රෝහලක නේවාසිකව ප්‍රතිකාර ලබා ගත්තා. ලොකු ගාණක්‌ වියදම් වුණා. ලෙඩේ හොඳ වෙනවා නම් සල්ලි හම්බ කරන්න බැරි යෑ කියලා හිත හදාගෙන බෙහෙත් ගත්තා. ඒත් අන්තිමේ ඒ රෝහලේ වෛද්‍යවරු වැලිසර ළය රෝහලට මාරු කරලා හැරියා.

ළය රෝහලේදී වෛද්‍යවරු පරීක්‍ෂණ කරලා ඔපරේෂන් කරන්න ඕනා කියලා කිව්වා. ඒත් මට ජීවත් වෙන්න පුළුවන් මාස හයක්‌ වගේ කාලයක්‌ කියලා වෛද්‍යවරු මගේ පවුලේ අයට කියලා තියෙනවා. ඔපරේෂන් කරපු පිළිකා රෝගීන් දුක්‌විඳින හැටි දැක්‌කම මට ඔපරේෂන් කරන්න ඕන නෑ කියලා හිතුණා. ඉන්න කාලේ දුක්‌විඳින්නේ නැතුව ඉඳලා මැරිලා යනවා කියලා හිත හදාගෙන ඔපරේෂන් කරන්න බෑ කියලා වෛද්‍යවරුන්ට කිව්වා. වෛද්‍යවරුත් බල කළේ නෑ. පස්‌සෙ මම බෙහෙත් අරගෙන ටිකට්‌ කපාගෙන ගෙදර ආවා. ඒ ඇවිත් ඉන්නකොට තමයි යුද හමුදාවේ මල්ලි කෙනෙක්‌ මේ පන්සල ගැන අපිට කිව්වේ. ඒ මල්ලි දෙතුන් පාරක්‌ කියනකොට මම පන්සලට ආවා. 2016 අවුරුද්දේ ජූලි මාසේ තමයි අපි පන්සලට ඇවිත් බුලත් තියලා හාමුදුරුවො එක්‌ක කතා කළේ.

බුලත් කොළ නමය අතට ගත්ත ගමන් හාමුදුරුවො සියලු විස්‌තර කියලා ලෙඩේ හොඳ කරන්න පුළුවන් කියලා ස්‌ථිරවම කිව්වා. ඒ වචනවලට මගේ හිතේ ලොකු පැහැදීමක්‌ ඇති වුණා. එදාම අපි කූඩාරම අටවගෙන පන්සලේ නතර වුණා. එක දිගට මාස හතක්‌ විතර ප්‍රතිකාර ගත්තා. මේ මෑතක දවසක මඩකලපුව රජයේ රෝහලට ගිහිල්ලා සී.ටී. ස්‌කෑන් එකක්‌ කරලා බැලුවා. 'ඔයාගේ පෙනහලුවල කිසිම රෝගයක්‌ නෑ...' පරීක්‍ෂණය කරපු වෛද්‍යවරයා එහෙම කියනකොට මට ඇඬුණා. දුකට නෙමෙයි, සතුටට. පස්‌සෙ මම සම්පූර්ණ සිද්ධිය වෛද්‍යවරයාට විස්‌තර කළා. මගේ කතාව අහලා ඒ දොස්‌තර මහත්තයාත් පුදුම වුණා.

ඉස්‌සර තිබුණු ඇඟේ අමාරු දැන් මොනවත් නෑ. හිතටත් හරිම සැහැල්ලුයි. නැවතත් මම රියෑදුරු රස්‌සාව පටන් ගන්නවා. තව ටික කාලයක්‌ හම්බ කරන්න පුළුවන්. මැරෙන්න ගිය මම ජීවිතය අලුතින්ම පටන් ගත්තා. මේ වගේ ප්‍රාතිහාර්යයක්‌ පාන පන්සලක්‌ තවත් මේ ලෝකෙ නැතුව ඇති. අපේ රටේ වාසනාවට පත්තිනි මෑණියන් දීපු බෙහෙත් වරමක්‌. මේ රටට ලැබිලා තියෙන වටිනා අවස්‌ථාවෙන් උපරිම ප්‍රයෝජන ගන්න ඕන. නිස්‌කාරණේ මැරෙන්න ඕන නෑ. මොනයම් හරි ලෙඩක්‌ තියෙනවා නම් මේ හාමුදුරුවන් බැහැදැකලා ලෙඩ සුවපත් කරගන්න පුළුවන්ද කියලා අහලා බලලා ප්‍රතිකාර ගන්න කියලා තමයි රටේ සියලු රෝගීන්ට කියන්නේ...''

දයානන්ද කියන කතාව සැබෑය. සති හයක්‌ පුරාවට අපි කියන්නේ ද ඒ කතාවමය. අපේ මඟපෙන්වීම අනුව ප්‍රතිකාර ලබාගැනීමට ගිය රෝගීන් වාහල්කඩ පින්බිමේ විශාල පිරිසකි. දැන්, දැන් වාහල්කඩ පින්බිමේ ප්‍රතිකාර ලබන රෝගීන් බහුතරය රෝගය ගැන මෙන්ම ගුණ, අගුණ පැවසීමට මැලි නොවෙති. විහාර භූමියේ රෝගීන්ගේ සුව දුක්‌ විමසන අපට ඒ බව හොඳින් පැහැදිලි වේ.

සුන්දර සිනාවකින් මුව සරසාගෙන අප ඉදිරියට පැමිණෙන ඇයට රෝගී බවක්‌ නම් නොපෙනේ. කාර්යශූර ඒ අම්මාගේ කතාව ද සිත් ගන්නා සුලුය.

'මම මේ පන්සලට ආවේ 'දිවයින' පත්තරෙන් දැකලා. දිවයින පත්තරේට පින්සිද්ධ වෙන්න දැන් මගේ ලෙඩේ යහපත් අතට පෙරළීගෙන එනවා කියලා මට තේරෙනවා...' ඒ කතාව අසා මගේ සිත සතුටින් පිරිණි.

ඇය ආර්. සෙලින් ප්‍රනාන්දුය. වයස අවුරුදු පනස්‌ අටකි. තිදරු මවකි. උපතින්ම කතෝලික ආගම වැළඳගත් ඇය වෙන්නප්පුවේ පදිංචිකාරියකි.

''මම 2004 අවුරුද්දේ ඉඳලා පිළිකාවකින් දුක්‌වින්දා. මුලින්ම බඩේ පැත්තක්‌ රිදෙන්න පටන් ගත්තා. රජයේ රෝහලකට ගිහිල්ලා ඒ බව කිව්වා. වෛද්‍යවරයෙක්‌ පරීක්‍ෂා කරලා බලලා ගැස්‌ට්‍රයිටිස්‌ කියලා ප්‍රතිකාර කළා. ඒ බෙහෙත් බොන අතරේ මුත්‍රා එක්‌ක ලේ යන්න පටන් ගත්තා. පස්‌සෙ රාගම රෝහලට ඇතුළත් වුණා. පරීක්‍ෂණ කිහිපයක්‌ම කරලා ගර්භාෂයේ ගෙඩියක්‌ තියෙනවා කියලා වෛද්‍යවරු කිව්වා.

'බය වෙන්න දෙයක්‌ නෑ... ඔපරේෂන් එකක්‌ කරලා ගෙඩිය අරන් දැම්මට පස්‌සෙ සනීප වෙයි...' කියලා වෛද්‍යවරු මගේ හිත ධෛර්යමත් කළා. ඒ එක්‌කම වෛද්‍යවරු මාව ඔපරේෂන් එකට ගත්තා. මගේ ගර්භාෂයේ කිලෝ එකයි ග්‍රෑම් 10 ක ගෙඩියක්‌ තිබිලා ඉවත් කළා. ඒ වෙනකොට ගෙඩිය උඩුදුවන්න පටන් ගෙන. ඊට පස්‌සේ වෛද්‍යවරු කිව්වා පිළිකා සෛල වර්ධනය වී ගෙන එනවා. බෙහෙත් විඳින්න වෙනවා කියලා. බෙහෙත් විදින්න පටන් ගත්තා. බෙහෙත් හයක්‌ විදලා ඉවර වෙනකොට මට හුස්‌ම වැටෙනවා විතරයි. සිරුර සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම දිරාපත් වෙලා. ඒ අතරතුරේ සායනවලදී වෛද්‍යවරු පරීක්‍ෂණ කරලා බලලා ආයෙමත් ගැටිත්තක්‌ තියෙනවා කියලා ඔපරේෂන් කළා. බෙහෙත් විදින්නත් ඕන කියලා වෛද්‍යවරු කිව්වා. මම ඒකට කැමැති වුණේ නෑ...''

''2011 අවුරුද්දේ ආයෙමත් බඩේ වේදනාව වැඩි වුණා. තුන් වැනි වරටත් ඔපරේෂන් කළා. මීට වඩා හොඳයි මැරුණා නම් කියලා හිතුණු වාර අනන්තයි. මහත්තයාට වැඳලා කිව්වා, ආයෙත් මාව ඉස්‌පිරිතාලවලට ගෙනියන්න එපා කියලා. එහෙම කියලා සායනවලට යන්නෙ නැතුව ගෙදර හිටියා. බඩේ වේදනාව වැඩි වුණා. කෑම කන්න බැරිව ගියා. බඩ පුරවා දැම්මා, මුත්‍රා යැම නතර වුණා. පෞද්ගලික රෝහලකට ගිහින් ස්‌කෑන් කරලා බැලුවහම බඩ පුරාම පිළිකාව පැතිරිලා ආමාශයටත් ළං වෙලා දැන් ඉතිං කරන්න දෙයක්‌ නෑ කියලා වෛද්‍යවරු කිව්වා. ගෙදර එක්‌කගෙන ගිහිං හොඳට බලාගන්න කියලා වෛද්‍යවරු මහත්තයට කියලා තිබුණා. මුත්‍රා යන්න බටයක්‌ දාගෙන ගෙදර ආවේ අවසාන හුස්‌ම පොද ගෙදරදීම පිට කරන්න හිතාගෙන. එහෙම ඉන්නකොට තමයි, පහුගිය මාර්තු 08 වැනිදා දිවයින පත්තරේ මේ පන්සල ගැන පළ කරලා තිබුණු ලිපිය දැක්‌කේ. ඊට පහුවෙනිදාම මගේ මහත්තයා මාව මේ පන්සලට අරගෙන ආවා. ඒ එනකොට සතියකටත් වැඩි කාලයක ඉඳලා වතුර ටිකක්‌වත් නෑ. ඇවිදගන්න බෑ. කතා කරන්න බෑ. යන්තමට හුස්‌ම වැටෙනවා විතරයි. මාව හාමුදුරුවො ළඟට අරගෙන ගිය ගමන්ම බොන්න පිරිත් පැන් ටිකක්‌ දුන්නා. ඒක බිව්ව විතරයි මට බඩගින්නක්‌ ආවා. ඒ එක්‌කම මම කතා කරලා කිව්වා බඩගිනියි කියලා...''

''මහත්තයා මාරි බිස්‌කට්‌ තුනක්‌ දුන්නා. පැයකට විතර පස්‌සෙ ඉදිආප්ප තුනක්‌ කෑවා. දවල් වෙනකොට මට හොඳටම බඩගිනි ආවා. ඒ වෙනකොට පන්සලේ දානය දෙනවා. මහත්තයා බත් පිඟානක්‌ බෙදාගෙන මට කැව්වා. මම බත් පිඟානම කෑවා. මහත්තයා පුදුම වෙලා මා දිහා බලාගෙන හිටියා. එදාම හවස්‌ වෙනකොට ඇවිදින්න බැරිව හිටිය මම මහත්තයාව අල්ලගෙන බෝධීන් වහන්සේ ළඟට ගිහිල්ලා වැන්දා. බෝධිය ළඟදි මම නැවත ඉපදුණා කියලා මට හිතුණා. දැන් මගේ ඇඟට තියෙන සනීපය වචනවලින් පැහැදිලිs කරන්න බෑ. මේ පින්බිමේ පෑගෙන හැම වැලි කැටයක්‌ම ඖෂධයක්‌. මේක පුදුම ආශ්චර්යයක්‌. මගේ ලෙඩ හොඳ වෙන්නේ කොහොමද කියලා මට තවම හිතාගන්න බෑ. ඒත් මට දැන් සනීපයි...'' සෙලින් අම්මාගේ මුවගිsන් මල් විසිරෙන්නීය. ඇය සමඟ වාහල්කඩ පින්බිමේ කූඩාරම්ගතව සිටින සැමියා අදට ද පින්බිම ගැන විශ්මයෙන් පසු වන්නේය. ඔවුන් පමණක්‌ නොව මේ කතා අහන, දකින සියලු දෙනා තුෂ්ණිම්භූතව සිටින්නාහ. මේ කලාතුරකින් ලැබෙන දේව වරමක්‌ කියා පමණක්‌ සිතේ තබාගැනීම ප්‍රමාණවත්ය.

වාහල්කඩ ඉසිවර අරණ ගැන අපට ලබාදිය හැකි තොරතුරු සීමිතය. විහාරස්‌ථානයේ හෝ ලෙඩ දුක්‌ සුවපත් කරන මංගලාරාමාධිපති හිමියන් වහන්සේ ද දුරකථන පාවිච්චි කිරීමෙන් වැළකී සිටින බැවින් අපට ලබාදිය හැක්‌කේ වාහල්කඩ මංගලාරාමයට පැමිණෙන ගමන් මාර්ගයේ විස්‌තර පමණි. එහෙයින් අපි ඔබගේ පහසුව සඳහා වාහල්කඩ මංගලාරාමයට යන ගමන් මාර්ගය මෙසේ සටහන් කර තබමු. අනුරාධපුරය, මැදවච්චිය හරහා කැබිතිගොල්ලෑව, වාහල්කඩට. පැමිණෙන රෝගීන්ට සරණක්‌ ලෙස කැබිතිගොල්ලෑවේ සිට පැමිණෙන වාහල්කඩ බස්‌ රථ මංගලාරාමය ඉදිරිපිට නතර කරනු ලැබේ.

UPDATE :

Now trying to contact an India Doctor  considering Liver transplant.
Since there are other complication/verdicst from local docs  , keeping  our fingers crossed.

I collected and send some crucial info I got to him . Even some details of a first hand account of how parent of a person I know very well survived Liver Cancer after being given a 3 month death call . He is still living! In SL.

The member is rather well know here. Many might know him.  
But when one is in distress and running around it is very hard to read/communicate /process  a lot.  

If he doesn't personally thank you , please dont be upset and put yourself in his shoes. I also  sent him  summaries of the good info I got via various ways.

Btw saddest part is the liver cancer was NOT due to usual drinking. Patient is not drinker /smoker and also  a Veg.

Such is life.

Yes , I think there are already doing that from what he told me. I told the same too.
Like I mentioned above , the cancer surviving parent of close friend of mine who was given 3 months to die , also did things to keep mind at peace ( religious and meditation etc)

Visited several times but didnt see this thread .Nice to see the helping hand of the cyber friends who never saw or met..He/she should be very lucky to have friends who are in need...

Many have posted foods & medicines which is more helpful .besides I have heard that some has cured by 'maithree bhawanawa" (self or being blessed by thirdparty ).

There is a place called spiritual healing center in Athulkotte owned by dr,kasun nagodawithana.0112882834 which doing treatments by using rays..I dont know exactly they can cure cancers.. but if interested can get more info by calling the above number

Sad to hear about this. Hope he/she gets better. Unfortunately I do not have any knowledge/info on this.

If not spread to other organs, Liver transplant is the best option. but as to my knowledge Liver cancers are secondary. (mean there is a primary cancer elsewhere and spread to the liver). liver cancers in latter stages are hard to treat as its complex nature and spread. it is better to give patient more moral support than weakening body by giving chemotherapy.

I am really feel sorry for the family SLS. it is not an easy thing to endure. but sometimes we have to face the reality and accept it at one point. if we did not accept and push further and further by dragging the patient's weak body without proving him/her much needed spiritual support, we have to regret later. we can at least give them a life to remember in remaining short period.

There has been a lot of developments.

a) Consulting ( getting opinion from a famous Indian Specialist ) to consider Transplant or Surgery in India .  

Do you guys know how much Liver surgery ( not transplant) now costs in India?
 It almost getting to be like western country costs.  
It is prohibitive for average person.

I am starting to admire the traditional Wedha mahaththayas in Sri Lanka ( if any existing) who did not charge money but did it as a service
( or only accepted money or anything the patient could actually afford)


b) Family showed patient to some more local specialist to get 2nd / 3rd opinion.
Their opinion is also not good.


c) Looking at alternative western med options from Chemo ( where SL docs say it not going to work) to targeted therapy.

d) alternative options including religous stuff, keeping patient happy,  other medicinal options are being done


The patient and family has decided to not opt for Surgery or go to India.  
Local Western Med option are limited or none right now. So that seems out.


Behind the scene some of us are trying to do whatever we can.

I take my hat off to several people who took personal interest in helping someone in distress.  

When people sent me PMs , which I figured would help the family,   I passed on with names of who those who sent such. You know who you are . They will know who you are  

Now atleast the Family and Patient is more aware and trying to improve quality of life of the patient too.

Patient mental/physical outlook is better than he was first at the hospital I was told.

As I mentioned, a Father of someone I know well has survived liver cancer after getting a 3 month "Live" call. They opted for other ways as I explained  briefly before. So any such info I get  am passing for them to decide /use.

FUNERAL WAS ON SUNDAY I JUST HEARD.  WAS VERY UPSETTING TO HEAR.
